NiFe(CoFe)/silica and NiFe(CoFe)/alumina nanocomposites for the catalytic hydrogenation of CO2

Abstract The fumed SiO 2 and Al O 3 oxides with a specific surface area of about 80 m g –1 were used for the synthesis Ni(80)Fe(20)/SiO , Co(93)Fe(7)/SiO Ni(80)Fe(20)/Al Co(93)Fe(7)/Al nanocomposites, numbers between brackets indicate metal content in wt%, being 10 wt% mass catalysts. Catalytically active bimetallic compositions (NiFe CoFe) that modified oxides’ prepared using solvate-stimulated method subsequent thermal decomposition reduction to corresponding metals hydrogen. catalysts characterized TGA dynamic hydrogen, nitrogen physisorption, PXRD methods. complete conversion carbon dioxide is observed temperature range 350–425 °C at maximum methane yield 72–84%. long-time catalytic test demonstrates high stability catalyst during 5 weeks exposure reaction mixture. was decreased by 3–14% after 1–2 months testing.
